Summary
R.A. Bell designed and manufactured two Medium Tanker CAFS vehicles for the AGL Loy Yang Power Station. AGL Loy Yang is situated on 6000 hectares in the Latrobe Valley, the mine supplies coal to the Loy Yang A and the Loy Yang B power station to support the production of Victorian electricity. AGL Loy Yang generates approximately 30% of Victoria’s yearly power requirements. The vehicle is located at the power station and is used as an emergency response vehicle to attend to fire and rescue incidents.

Cab Chassis : Hino GT1322 Single Cab Chassis 4×4
GVM : 13,000kg
Body : Galvanized steel sub frame and aluminium chequer plate flooring,roll over protection bar at the forward position, aluminium lockers and stowage devices
Pump : Hatz air-cooled diesel engine which is close-coupled to a 2 stage GAAM Mk300 pump and a Rotocomp EVO6 air compressor driven via a live drive fitted to the flywheel on the Hino engine.
Water System : Front of vehicle mounted controlled monitor,Fireco Ultra High Pressure Pumping System (nom. 50 l/min @ 700 Kpa) c/w 1 x 60m live hose reel). Class A, class B and CAFS foam capabilities, suction and delivery ports anda 3000 litre polypropylene tank and a crew protection sprinkler system
Electrical : 24v system, Hazard 1000 series emergency light bar, strobe lights and LED’s, siren amplifier, intercom system, light mast, 240v system including outlets
Controls : Cabin, tray and rear pump and monitor controls and a water tank monitoring system
